Are you a RN
practicing in a state with specific license renewal requirements for CE?
Registered nurses are
required by law to complete certain number of contact hours of continuing
education every
two years for most states and
3 or 4 years for certain states, in addition to paying the renewal fee, to
maintain an
active license. Many states
in the U.S. require a certain number of contact hours for license renewal and
some have specific
requirements related to particular clinical topics.
Continuing education courses
must have been completed during the preceding renewal period (when renewing),
or during the preceding two years (when renewing a delinquent or lapsed
license, or going from an inactive to active license). Registered Nurses are
required to take up courses through a continuing education provider recognized by the Board of
Registered Nursing.

requirements for each state as well as CE offerings that will assist in meeting
your state’s continuing education license renewal requirements.
